A nod of the head, a knowing glance—that's how 53-year-old Jorge Alberto Nassel asks a lady to dance at a Buenos Aires milonga. "I choose my partner by the way she dances," he says, "but many times she's a friend; the milonga is like a family." Known to attend more than one milonga a day—and as many as four—Jorge says tango is the center of his life. "If I don't dance, something is missing," he says. "Tango is like an addiction, except it's healthy."
